Hadith on Solitude: Those who seek seclusion to remember Allah have succeeded

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Those in seclusion have raced ahead.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are those in seclusion?” The Prophet said, “They are men and women who remember Allah often.”
In another narration, the Prophet said, “They are those absorbed in the remembrance of Allah.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim
Al-Munawi said, “Those in seclusion are those who seek solitude and withdraw from people to be alone and free to worship, as if he sets himself apart to be devoted to Allah.” (73:8)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبَقَ الْمُفَرِّدُونَ قَالُوا وَمَا الْمُفَرِّدُونَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ الذَّاكِرُونَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَالذَّاكِرَاتُ
وفي رواية أحمد قال الَّذِينَ يُهْتَرُونَ فِي ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ

قال المناوي المفردون أي المنفردون المعتزلون عن الناس من فرد إذا اعتزل وتخلى للعبادة فكأنه أفرد نفسه بالتبتل إلى الله
