Hadith on Moderation: Be moderate in worship and never give up

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him passed by a man who was praying on a rock. The Prophet want to Mecca and remained there for a while, then he returned and found the man still praying this way. The Prophet stood and clasped his hands and said, “O people, you must be moderate, you must be moderate, you must be moderate! Verily, Allah will not give up until you give up.”

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَى صَخْرَةٍ فَأَتَى نَاحِيَةَ مَكَّةَ فَمَكَثَ مَلِيًّا ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَوَجَدَ الرَّجُلَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حَالِهِ فَقَامَ فَجَمَعَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْقَصْدِ ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا
